October Calendar Page...

Today is such a fall day...rainy and cold! Oh how I wish summer was still here..... Welcome October!

Every month Kathryn, Julie, Tangii, Monique and Lisa and I make these calendar pages. Hubby was kind enough to make me my calendar stand so I can play around each month with these calendars.
Enjoy your weekend!

Hello October....

Time to turn the calendar to the month of October..... Hubby and I made this little oak calendar holder a few months ago and I have just loved decorating each months page! Dawn inspired me with her idea of calendar pages each month and provided me with Cats Calendar Templates!

I used a C.C. Designs Pumpkin Emma and Stamping Bellas row of Pumpkins to create this little calendar page. I then coloured on white copic paper with copics to create a rainbow effect of fall colours, punched out some fall leaves and then placed them as though they were falling! I coloured the whole image with prismas and with lyra pencils.
Have a wonderful day...and thank-you soooo much for popping in for a visit. I know things can get so busy and it gets hard to come by and visit!

Happy Harvest....

The weather here has most definetly shifted gears to fall! We have gone from high humid temps, to a very cool air mass. The leaves will be changing colour and it will be time to bring out the sweaters....and maybe a little more time to get to the craftroom.

For my card I used the adorable little Leisel from C.C. Designs, added some homemade pumpkins that I made cut out of cardstock added the swirls with a black marker. I coloured Leisel with copics and added a little glitter to her wings!

Here in Ontario I have heard from the local farmers that the pumpkins are about a month ahead of schedule. I guess with all the wonderful sunshine we had this summer it made for a great growing season!

Just wanted to shout out to Sue and Nikki...thank-you for a wonderful day yesterday! Lots of craft talk...so good for the soul! Have a wonderful fall like day everyone!

A Birthday Celebration & a Challenge!

A very special blogger has a challenge and a birthday to celebrate this week! Danni is having a birthday this Saturday and she is the creator of FlutterbyWednesdays....so she is having us make a birthday card for the challenge. It must have a butterfly, angel or a fairy on it and you must use the sketch Mercy has created for the Flutterby Challenge!

For my little birthday card I used one of the cutie C.C. Designs and popped her up on a little fence!

Happy Birthday Danni........

beach picnic.....

Isn't summer the best time of the year! No more heavy winter coats and boots....the temperatures are wonderful, the sun is out, at least most of the days! I love doing summery cards..... There are a couple of challenges this week that have totally inspired me......Anyone for Anya......Don't be square
One Stop Craft Challenge....Summer Breeze
This chick is so ready for the beach....she has her picnic basket and she is ready to spend the day just relaxing...isn't that what summer is all about!

Another recipe card to add to my growing collection! I am so thrilled to be making my recipe booklet! It has been sooo much fun...make a card and then I just try to match it with a recipe card! Too fun!
Have a wonderful day.......enjoy the sunshine wherever you are!

Off to the beach....

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I was checking out the Challenge Blog "Anyone for Anya" and they have a great challenge this week: LOTS OF LAYERS, they want to see dimension on your cards. So I have chosen to layer up my Beach Card...I popped the surf board as well as popped the background papers!

I found this picture which I absolutely love. I wish it was my cottage by the lake.... I found this was going to be were my inspiration would come from. I love soft pastel blues and soft beiges.... it was sooo me!

I actually remember when we were kids at my grandmothers cottage we learned how to tie a sailors knot....so I wanted to place it on my card somehow! What do you think! Here is a link to make this knot.

Now I have been working on my recipe booklet so I thought what the heck, lets make a matching recipe card! Before you know it, my recipe book will be done! I used MS beach punch from last year to do the bottom, and my life perserver is from Magnolia. I sponged some clouds in the background of the recipe card too!

Have a wonderful day....and thank-you so much for coming and visiting!

water...weed...wait....

The weather here is just fantastic...sunny skies and warmer breezes! Gotta love it! For my card today I used my images from the C.C. Designs spring kit! I just love her in her cherry blouse. I coloured this all up with copics and popped the watering can and the little girl sitting on the bench. My sentiment is from Karen Lockhart's collection of stamps which you can purchase at Ellen Hutson.

I am off to take the kids to school and run a few errands. I hope you all have a fantastic day and are able to enjoy a little of this wonderful weather we are having! Come on summer!

Bring on spring....

Yesterday was such a fun day...spent the whole day just venturing out and shopping for paper and embellishments! You cannot beat a day like that! Today's card is really a simple, but I thought she was so darn cute sitting in all those little daisies!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend....hopefully it is nice and sunny and warm where you are!

Round Top Basket.....

Good Wednesday to all..
Every year I like to make the kids their little Easter baskets, and last year I found this wonderfully cute basket to make, now it is my template for all their little treats! Here are
the instructions for this easy basket!

A couple of weeks ago I received my #1 spring kit from C.C. Designs and just find it has been so fun to work with, so I have now ordered the #2 Spring Kit! I cannot wait to get that cute set! Oh the fun never stops. Over at Flutter by Wednesdays challenge it is open, the only rule is you must have a butterfly ,angel or a fairy on your creation! So I am hoping this little creation will be ok!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Scene It....

Happy Sunday Everyone...did everyone have a chance to get outside yesterday and enjoy the first day of spring? Actually it was a little cool here and it really did not feel like spring! I think I need to talk to mother nature...their were little flakes of snow coming down! Go away winter!
Over at Stamptacular Sunday they have a wonderful challenge....Create a Scene! I absolutely love doing scenes on my cards...so I jumped right on this one! I pulled out some of my favourite C.C. Design images from the spring kit...and went to work!

It is a little simple...but that does seem to be my style. I popped the two little girls to give them that 3D look. You cannot tell really from this picture! These two are out to find some chocolatey eggs...with a little help from little Peter rabbit!!!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday...and thank-you so much for visiting and taking a look!

pocket card...

What a beautiful day in Southern Ontario it is going to be.
I am so pleased that I ordered the C.C. Designs Spring Kit. I love it so much, and have used it quite a bit, as you can do so much with it!
Today I made a birthday card...with pockets which hold a little tag! I saw on Liza's blog she made a beautiful card and inside she made these cute little pockets to hold a tag! You can then write your sentiment right on to the tag! How cute is that!

I hope you have a wonderful day, and thank-you so much for taking time out of your day to come and visit! I appreciate it so much!

here comes the bride...

Good Friday to everyone...oh the sun is just a beaming here in southern Ontario! How wonderful is that. It is suppose to get up to +11 by Sunday! Lovin' that! Last night I was able to get into the craft room and make a little card for a bride to be....

I bought the C.C. Design Spring Kit and there was this adorable image. I just fell in love with her. So I coloured her with distress inks...which by the way I am really loving. I popped the bouquet of flowers just to give it a little dimension, then the fun part, which you cannot see in this picture, I added lots of glitter to her pretty dress!

Today my son is in a hockey tournament...so we will be at the arena all day. No crafting for this gal! It should be a fun day!

One of those days....

Good Thursday to all...
I think we are in for a fairly cold day, but the sun looks like it will be shinning so that is a good thing. How many more days of this winter season is left! I am so ready for spring! This is what has inspired my card today...do you just have one of those days when you just want to lounge around for the day in your PJ's and just sip your tea......
Thank-you Carolyn for this wonderful stamp you gave me for Christmas. You know I really love C.C. Designs...and this little cutie is no exception!

Have a wonderful Thursday...and thank-you so much for taking time out of your day to comment on my blog!

warmest thanks for all you do...

Happy Friday all... always happy when friday comes along! Looks like we are going to have another day with the temperatures above the freezing mark. Our poor ol pond will not be able to stay good and frozen for hockey this weekend. For my card today I took a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock and cut it to 12 x 5, then scored it at 2", 4", 8" and 10" to create the folds.

Just a little wintery card...the inside I placed a sentiment...warmest thanks for all you do!

Hope you enjoy your day...and thank-you so much for popping by, I appreciate it so much!

Christmas Wreath...

Wow..this morning we woke up to frigid temperatures! The wind is howling and it is cold...brrrr!
If you are wondering....no you are not seeing spots on my blog!LOL That is snow falling on my blog! If you want snow on your blog go here to get your instructions on how to do it!
The image I used is from a wonderful blogging friend Rachel. Thank-you Rachel. I love this collection of C.C. Designs! Very plain card for me today...I'm still trying to get a few gifts made for Christmas and it just does not leave alot of time for card making. I find sometimes a card can take me up to a couple of hours to make..you too!
