a note for you....

We woke up this morning with lots of snow that had fallen overnight..yuck! I am really ready for spring. Today Korin over at Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge blog has a great sketch for us.

I certainly had spring on my mind when I did this card...I pulled out the C.C.Designs stamps and did some masking so that the fence could go in behind. I coloured her with distress inks...which I just love to play with!

I sure hope you can play along this week. I have a hockey tournament all weekend with my son so not much crafting. Have a wonderful weekend!

Pretty in Pink...

Flutter by Wednesdays has a new challenge this week, it is an open challenge, just be sure to have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation! So my little miss is my little fairy image!!!

For my card I pulled out my C.C. Designs spring collection and the distress inks. I stamped the little girl and after colouring her with the distress inks, cut her out and popped her on the fence. A little stitching on the card and voila!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Take time to relax...

Here we are in the middle of a snowstorm and I am posting a spring card...mother nature needs to co-operate with me...I need spring to come! One of my special blogging buddies is under the weather this week..so this card is for her! She needs some springtime weather just like the rest of us! Danielle this is for you!!! Hope you are feeling better very soon!

My girlfriend Carolyn and I did a little road trip on Wednesday. I have to say that our road trips are always fun and a little expensive, but they are so worth it! We laugh, we oh and ahhhh about new products in the craft stores....and then we drive home with smiles ear to ear! These are the stamps I brought home on this road trip, and the papers too! You gotta love when spring is around the corner...as all the pretty paper is out!

I am curious though...how long does it take you on average to make a card? I really want to know! I seem to take forever..and I have not even put embellishments on!!! I bet you ladies just whip up those gorgeous creations you do! Not this gal..makes me mad!

Now for this card, I took a 12x12 piece of paper and cut it to: 7x12, then scored it at 2,4,8 and 10. Then fold at the score lines...really easy peasy and I really think you will like the results!

I am off to create another card...please let me know some tricks to great card making in less then 4 hours!!!LOL

My blogging friend Joanne just told me about a new challenge blog Sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com that I could enter this card into...the theme is SPRING!

...with love....

Happy Thursday to all...
By now you must have figured out that pink is my all time favourite colour. With Valentine's around the corner it just seems like such a great excuse to use it as much as possible. So out came the adorable C.C. Designs image that my wonderful blogging buddie sent me a couple of months ago. Thank-you so much Rachel..you know I adore her!

I coloured with copics and then added a pretty pink bow with a tag attached, then added computer generated lettering cut out and pasted.

Have a wonderful Thursday and a big huge thank-you to all of you who leave the most nicest comments on my blog...they absolutely make my day!

Snow globe challenge!

Wow...woke up to a very chilly Friday here in Ontario, Canada! I think we were spoiled the last couple of days with very nice winter temperatures! Darn...just a reminder that winter is still here! I am so sorry about the lack of posts this week...it has been quite a busy week with the kids! No time to create much. Over at All that Scraps weekly Wednesday challenge, they have a challenge for us to create a snow globe. How could you not with the kind of weather we are having! Here is a turtorial for making these little cute snowglobes...not to hard at all!

I used my kraft cardstock for the background, a magnolia fence, and cute little Nora from C.C. Designs. I can hardly wait to start making some spring cards using the new Spring Kit from C.C. Designs! Hope you are all keeping very warm wherever you are....and those that visit my blog from the warmer parts of the world...bring us that wonderful warmth we so need here!!!

warm thoughts your way...

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are still hopefully enjoying some time off. I am enjoying the kids and hubby home for this week! It does of course cut into the card making, but I will take it! Last night it was so windy..and with that came very cold temperatures! Not impressed at all! I am starting to want to make spring and Valentines cards...but the weather is just not co-operating with the spring ideas I have....

I received some wonderful C.C. Design images for Christmas from a wonderful friend...and I absolutely treasure these little ones!

I hope you all have a wonderful day...I off to make some lunch and then maybe visit some blogs. If time will allow!

Christmas Goodies...ready to wrap!

Happy Thursday to all...Now... I know part of having a blog is all about the clear pictures and the beautiful displays in which your projects appear on your blog but I have to tell you... a photographer I am not! Love doing the projects but struggle with the appearance they may have on the blog!!!!

Below is a picture of the recipe book I have been working on for my SIL. She has hinted a couple of times to me that she wished she had something to put all her recipes into! Well...I had to jump on that opportunity to whip up a little something special for her! I added all my favourite recipes to it as well! I still have a few more recipes to add!

Many of you have asked to see the quilts I have been making for some of my family. I took a picture of the one that I made last week for my sister in law. I had a hard time putting a picture on the blog that would show the whole quilt! I hope I have been able to give you all a little peek!

I hope all your holiday preparations have been going well! It's funny how we have all year but we cram it all into the last couple of weeks! I may of course just be speaking for myself here! LOL!

Have a fantastic day!
