Off to the beach....

I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I was checking out the Challenge Blog "Anyone for Anya" and they have a great challenge this week: LOTS OF LAYERS, they want to see dimension on your cards. So I have chosen to layer up my Beach Card...I popped the surf board as well as popped the background papers!

I found this picture which I absolutely love. I wish it was my cottage by the lake.... I found this was going to be were my inspiration would come from. I love soft pastel blues and soft beiges.... it was sooo me!

I actually remember when we were kids at my grandmothers cottage we learned how to tie a sailors knot....so I wanted to place it on my card somehow! What do you think! Here is a link to make this knot.

Now I have been working on my recipe booklet so I thought what the heck, lets make a matching recipe card! Before you know it, my recipe book will be done! I used MS beach punch from last year to do the bottom, and my life perserver is from Magnolia. I sponged some clouds in the background of the recipe card too!

Have a wonderful day....and thank-you so much for coming and visiting!

You should be on the ATS design team because any stamps I see on your blog I then WANT. This is SUCH a cutie with the floral surfboard. LOVE the idea for a beachy recipe card too!

This is so sweet and I love your inspiration photo. The waether here is awful, cold and blustery and wet so looking at your gorgeous summer image here is making me feel colder with her bare legs and arms. Hope the weather is better there. Marianne x
