Wedding Card....

Last weekend our friends son got married in a small outdoor wedding. Unfortunately due to Covid we could not attend until next year when the couple is going to have a reception! So looking forward to it! I did however need a card for the newly weds! I searched blogland for ideas but many cards were just so beautiful and just didn't know what to do! Soooo, I pulled out a favourite LOTV stamp I had bought years ago. I used my distress ink pads and watercoloured this adorable couple...I have not used those pads in a long time...so I was a bit rusty! But you know, you add a wee bit of glitter to a rather simple card and VOILA a card takes shape.
Thank-you Debby for the inspiration..... after seeing your slim line card you posted a few days ago.

Thank-you so much for your visit today.

Oh sweet Milton...

One of the reasons I found a love for cardmaking...was the lovely PaulaBella. Paula used to come up from her hometown in the States to teach classes at Stamping Bella, Canada, Ontario. She took time with each and everyone us. She taught us how to mix our prima pencil colours, how to add grass, shading and her how to add her touch of glitter...She in my card making world ....is the reason I learnt so much. So big thank-you Paula...so miss your classes..

So this adorable sweet Milton is a stamp from Stamping Bella...oh I soooo fell in love with him! I need a few cards for my stash...and he was so perfect!

Thank-you for popping by... Have a wonderful weekend!

Brighter Days Are Ahead...

The last few days have been so cold that we had snow showers yesterday..so hopefully "brighter days are ahead". I had to bring in all my flowers the last few nights...and I have alot of them!

Today I used a LOTV stamp and made my own umbrella so that it could slide up to reveal my little bear. Coloured it all up with prisma pencils!

It is rather cold out today so it will be into the craftroom to play ..and I am not complaining at all!

Have a wonderful day! And thank-you for the visit!

Thank-you to my fellow gardener...

Hello to all this long weekend...

My sweet neighbour came by for a nice visit yesterday and along with her she brought me a tomato plant she made up for me...Ohhh my was I excited (yes, it is the little things that bring a smile).  Soooo today I needed a card to thank her. As you all know...we card makers love to make cards whenever we can! It is a wee bit simple...but simple is fun too! I pulled out my sweet Lockhart stamps I purchased from Ellen Hutson years ago...but they are some favourites of mine.

I coloured with prisma pencils and added a bit of glitter!

Wel, I am off to deliver the card to her....have a wonderful day!

Time to get myself organized...

I love to send cards out, and I thought this wonderful idea Jennifer McGuire had was a fantastic idea. I will call it my "reminder box". What is a reminder box...well instead of holding a box of recipes, the box holds reminder cards. Each reminder card has who I need it for, and what occasion and the persons mailing address.
I bought the clear box on Amazon (good ol Amazon). For the inside I chose co-ordinating colours of cardstock for the month dividers. I made my own tabs, then laminated each divider and then added the month using my label maker (love my label maker). This will be helpful for me. As I love to make cards ahead of time. I can just look thru the month and see what I need.

I chose a sweet LOTV stamp. I masked the image and then sponged with distress inks with three different distress inks. I then coloured the sweet image with prisma pencils. Then laminated the card and inserted it into the front of my "reminder box". Thank-you Jennifer McGuire....again...for always inspiring me.

Have a wonderful day!!

Mother In Law's Mother's Day Card!

I have been slowly making cards for lots of occasions coming up....I made my Mother In Law a Mothers Day card. She has 3 boys so I thought how cute to put three bear cubs on mama's tummy!

I coloured with prisma pencils and that is about it! I just noticed..I forgot the glitter! I will go back and do that! I am hoping to get back into the craftroom this weekend as I have lots of cards to get going on!

Have a wonderful day and stay safe!
