Double Slider Card....

Hello Everyone.....I have seen so many of you doing Christmas cards and thought you know...I need to get started too! I started off with a double slider card and used the super duper adorable new release stamp from Dreamerlandcrafts….
I coloured up my little bears with prisma pencils and stamped the evergreen trees in distress inks and made a wintery like scene.... Added lots of white snow drops along with glitter....
I am hoping that this weekend will consist of some Christmas card making...I am hoping to post a little more in the coming weeks! Have a wonderful weekend...and say HELLO to the first day of FALL this weekend!

TO DO LIST BOOKLET....

This post seems so appropriate....I have been enjoying the summer weather and have not had a whole of time to create....so now " a to do list" is required! I made a cute box card and a note pad to match....
I used the newly released stamp called LINE DRYING from Dreamerland Crafts. She is so cute and her little pal watching her. I coloured her up with prisma pencils and used a piece of acetate to put the butterfly on to prop it up.
I made the note pad with a note pad I bought at the dollar store and then made a cover with kraft cardstock and then decorated the front using the same adorable stamp.
I am hoping to start posting a little more often as summer winds down. I must get busy making Christmas cards too...I started early last year and it was great!  Big shout out to Marianne who always gets me thinking Christmas cards are great to start early....
Have a wonderful day and thank-you kindly for visiting!

Father's Day Tool Box...

With Father's Day approaching this sunday I thought I better get going on a card for my hubby that is our go to to fix stuff around our house. What ever needs fixing he's our guy! I made a box card that folds down to fit into an envelope! I bought all the little tools at Michaels and stuck them on.
If you pull the tab it reveals a little area where I will write a short little note of thanks! The side pieces I ran a piece of foil thru my cuttlebug with the hounds tooth pattern embossing folder...was kind of trying to get this too look masculine as possible!

Well this is a short post as I am off to work.....oh I would rather craft all day!!! LOL
Have a great day!

Campire Comfort...

Soon it will be time to pack up the camping gear and head north to enjoy campfires, the stars and all the things that camping brings! So I thought I would make a pop up card using the Dreamerland Crafts stamp called Campfire Comfort. I had this idea to use my lights to light up the camp fire. I had to do a little creative wiring but it did work!  When you press down on the sentiment piece it makes the fire light up!
I sponged the sky with distress inks and sponged the trees as well with distress inks. I used prismas to colour my image!
Hope your are enjoying some nice weather where you are! Thank-you for popping in for a visit!

A light up Summer's Eve card.....

By no means is it a summers eve here...oh boy we are suppose to have spring flowers popping up and we have an ice storm here. Now there is some positive to this storm...I stay in where it is warm and make cards! No quilt that I should be outside enjoying the weather...no nice weather out there!
I pulled out a Dreamerland Craft stamp called A Token of Love for you.....that needed to be coloured and placed on a lamppost light up kind of card! DreamerLand just came out with these wonderful background stamps that allow you to create this background. I added some lights that when you press the side of the card they turn on....yes, I do have an addiction with these lights.
I sponged my background with Distress inks and then stamped the fence and then the lamp posts. I coloured my images with prisma pencils and then placed a few stars in the sky. I tried to draw some cobblestone like walk way for my two little lovers to walk on...it turned out ok....
Well, thank-you for popping in to see what I have been up to. Oh and hopefully some of you got away to Scrapfest in Kitchener and really enjoyed yourselves......

Farm Life...

Hello to all....I needed a card for our neighbours daughter. She lives on a farm with many cows and horses. So this seemed perfect. Now, I am not sure what has happened to my card making but it really is not working well. I try something and then I look at it and sigh...(thank-you Marianne for your last comment and encouragement) I kind of look at this and think its lacking something.
I made the barn the best I could and added all the cute animals. I hope she likes it. I sponged the background using distress inks and added a tiny bit of glitter to the bottom but I am not sure you can see it in my pictures.

Thank-you for visiting and have a wonderful day.
