Barista & Bakery Card.....

I needed a special card for a friend that just opened up a Barista & Bakery....I wanted it to look like her little shop and this is what I came up with. It is a pop up card that lights up when you push the side part of the card. Now as you can see her shelves are a bit empty...that was way too hard to make the little treats for the shelves. So I will leave that up to her to fill! LOL

Sorry my pictures are really poor. It was pretty tricky getting good pictures  today.
I hope you can see that under the awning are 3 lights that shine when you push the side of the card.
Kind of a crazy card idea but it looks like her store. It did not turn out perfectly but I found it a bit tricky to do. I think I should stick to clean and simple cards! Congratulations Emily on your new adventure!

Soft watercolour....

I needed a few simple cards and wanted to try watercolouring....so with a little guidance from a friend (hello Leila) I was able to get a few done. I stamp some images with distress inks and watercoloured the image. I also traced an envelope onto water colour paper and cut it out, stamped the image then watercoloured right on the outside of the envelope.

Quick post today!! Have a wonderful day....hopefully spring is starting to make a bit of an appearance!

Love you to the moon and back.....

Yes, I am a bit addicted to these chibitronic lights that Heidi gave me to try! I saw this image from Dreamerland Crafts (Pointer Arts and Crafts Store) and right away knew what I really wanted to try.
This image is called Jazz Improvisation. I did the background by sponging with distress inks and cut out the moon, placed a piece of vellum that I sponged with a yellow distress ink colour behind the sky. I placed the chibitronic lights behind the moon and when you press the large star...the moon lights up. I coloured the image with prisma colours. I did however forget to put some glitter on the card...I will fix that after I post!

Have a wonderful day and welcome in March! Its suppose to come in like a lion so hopefully it will go out like a lamb.

My daughter's birthday is this weekend....so I wanted to be sure I made a card for her. So when I saw this image from LOTV....I knew this was the image I wanted to use. She is on her phone constantly (sigh) taking selfies...drives me crazy! LOL I just love these chibitronic lights. They are so neat. I love how if you press the area where the battery is...what you want to light up, lights up!

I coloured up the image with prismas and added some glitter. With a press of the star the phone lights up as she takes a selfie!

Take a moment for you...

I have fallen in love with these Chibitronic lights that everyone is using.  How people are using them on cards is truly amaing. The talent out there in blogland! Thank-you to blog land for inspiring me all the time.  I need to thank Heidi at Pointer for kindly giving me these adorable images from
Dreamerland Crafts to play with and also giving me some of these Chibitronics to try. Thanks Heidi for the hands on tutorial! A shout out to the very talented Debbie Olson who totally inspired me as well with her Chibitronic light card.
This little peanut she is called "Surrounded by Love" and she has curled up with her furball and a good book....my kind of night! With a push on the tab a light appears and lights up her book. I drew the light, sorry not so professional! LOL
Sorry I am a terrible photographer...But hopefully you get a bit of the idea.
Well, I am off to try these lights out on more cards!

Skating Rink....pop up card!

I am looking out my window of my craftroom and it is snowing non stop today and there is more to come tomorrow. Sooooo I had to make another wintery card. I wanted to make a pop up card that folds down into an envelope nicely. It took a bit but I did it.
I wanted this image called Happy Holidays from Dreamerland Crafts to look like they were on a pond with their reflection... So I coloured them up with prisma pencils and popped them up on the ice rink.

I sure hope you have enjoyed time in your craftroom today.....enjoy your day!

Notebook & Pen Holder......thanks to Sandiebella

I cannot tell you how thrilled I was when Sandie over at Stamping Bella shared how she did her awesome Notebook & Pen Holder. She did a great job showing us all how she did it...thank-you Sandie. Go HERE to get her tutorial and if you like, try it out!
Along with that I made some hydrangeas flowers from a tutorial Kittie Kraft shared a few years back. It reminds me of spring...something I am waiting oh so patiently for. I used some adorable LOTV stamps and coloured them up with prismas and added some glitter to the background.

Well....I am off to make more cards...seems I need a few for Valentines and for birthdays as well. Have a wonderful day in your craft room if you can!
