Winter Cards.....

Some very plain Christmas cards to post today...but I really needed to get started on my cards or I won't be sending out any this year and that would not make me very happy.  I had ordered some LOTV images that I wanted to use so badly. So I inked them up today...coloured with copics and added lots of stamped trees. You may not notice but I added a piece of acetate to the front of the image and popped it up. Very clean and simple.

I am hoping to be posting a little more as I have been neglecting more poor blog! I haven't neglected viciting all the beautiful creations out there that I love to visit. Such amazing talent out in blog land!
Have a wonderful day and thank-you for popping in!

Wow...I am on a bit of a roll....

What a great way to spend a wintery day...out on the pond!!! I don't want to rush winter here, oh no, not this gal...she loves summer way to much to see it go!
Unbelievable, I have made two cards this weekend. I am thrilled to add some more to my Christmas card collection. Today, my card was all about a vision I had. Two girls skating on an outdoor pond...and it came to life for me. Well, at least I think it did...lol!
I wanted a pop up card so away to work I went. You have to be a bit careful to close it up as she is a bit delicate. I used lots of dies and one of my favourite images from the lastest LOTV release. I also used some more of my much loved Maja Papers.
I am off to enjoy the beautiful sunshine outside as summer winds down here! Hope to see you soon!

Head start on Christmas cards...

Well, after a little break from blogging to enjoy our summer weather I am back with a head start on a Christmas card. The way things are around here, I thought I had better get a little busy. Before you know it Christmas will be here....LOL I have really enjoyed our summer but now it is time to visit the craft room a little more often.
My card today is a bit simple but I am really liking that. I sponged the sky with some momento inks and then used the papertrey stamp set that I really like called, Winter Hills. It has this adorable house and the spruce tree stamp. I then used a Taylored Expressions die for the birch trees. All in all...simple right! Oh and a little glitter was added. That is another reason I love making Christmas cards...you can go crazy with glitter.
I hope that you had a fantastic summer and look forward to the fall weather!!!! Happy Crafting!

Summer.....Slider Card

I tried my hand at a  slider card...which I was totally inspired to try after seeing Miss Normas! I love summer and this just has summer all over it. I fell in love with this style of card and could hardly wait to try it out. I used lots of dies...and coloured up Miss Tilda with prismas.
When you pull the tab, Tilda slides out to reveal a sentiment and the inside slides out too! I am so happy Norma you posted your slider card...it has become a favourite style for me. I am already thinking about the beautiful Christmas cards I can come up with.  I used my most favourite Maja papers....delicious! LOL

I hope you are having a wonderful summer. I hope to do a bit more creating this weekend!

hello...summer.....

The long awaited summer will arrive tomorrow....I am happy to say! Summer is my favourite time of the year.  My card today was inspired by the season! I had just bought these adorable stamps from the Pointer Scrapbooking store and really was looking forward to colouring them up. They are called Crafters Companion....Party Paws. So cute, I think.
I coloured with my prismas and popped up my flower just to give a bit of dimension. Very simple card...but I wanted to mail out this card today so I had to get it finished. Well, I am off to enjoy the sunshine...Have a wonderful weekend.

Awhhhh....summer at last!

I have found my love of reading again and look forward to reading my new book that I just bought this weekend. I did however, judge the book by it's cover this time so I am really hoping it's a good one. My project today was also inspired by the front cover....Oh I wish I was her right now!
Miss Tilda is getting her feet wet on the sandy beach. I got out my copics for her and the beach...I found they are so vibrant which is so nice. I even did my clouds with copics which did make me nervous as I am so used to using the prismas....but I think they turned out ok. A little more practice and all will be good.
So with a new book comes a cute little book mark to match! LOL And of course, I had to make a card too!
I am going to enter this card and bookmark into the Magnolia-licious....It is "Summer"!

Post it notes....

I needed three special little take along gifts for a get together in June! I thought I would try and make them post it note holders! I had just received my Purple Onion Stamp collection a couple of weeks ago....so what a perfect way to try them out! I coloured them up with prismas and then popped them up to give a 3D effect. I used copics to do the sky....and added a bit of glitter! Voila....

Hope you are enjoying the gorgeous weather we are having here in Belhaven, Ontario! Have a wonderful weekend...and happy crafting!
