Oh my goodness it has been awhile....Life has a way of getting in the way of creating cards! But the pressure was on as I needed some Autumn/Birthday cards....which is great as it gives you that push.
I wanted to create a barn like door that swung open....so this way my attempt to make that vision into a card. I made some pumpkins and coloured up some adorable My Favourite Things stamps called Cool cat..... When you don't make cards for a bit you become very rusty I tell ya!
I have been working on some Christmas cards to post at a later date so stay tuned. My blogging friend Marianne has been making them and posting and it has got me going. Thank-you Marianne!
Have a wonderful fall day in your neck of the woods!
I hope you can see where I was going with this card. We have a friend that is retiring this year from the police force later this year and I wanted to make him a card. Now, this is where my idea came from. He has a beautiful boat that at this point he can only get on and enjoy when time allows. Work gets a bit in the way! So I wanted to make a slider card that when you pull the cruiser it reveals his boat that resembles what retirement will look like! Hopefully he likes my idea here!! LOL
I drew the boat by hand so hopefully it looks a "bit" like his boat or at least he gets the idea. Drawing skills are to be desired here!
Hopefully you like me idea and its not too busy and hard to figure out!!! I also added some glitter to the boat...I know guys don't really like glitter but I had to hide my drawings skills a bit!!!
Oh how lovely to see the weekend! Now let us hope the sun shines. The summer here has been a bit dreary so far.....
So why not just escape into the craft room for a bit and create a card! I used these cute Dreamerland Crafts stamps. And also I used some mushroom dies I bought earlier in the year. I just love them. I coloured them with copics and coloured the image with prismas. Not too fancy today!
A big shout out to my friend Susan...get better soon!!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!!!
Hello there...how was your weekend? It was kind of crazy weather here. First sun then the thunderstorms. Mother nature is really giving us a strange summer so far! I decided to play with some new stamps I bought this weekend. Penny Black stamps are so cute! I love this little furball. I sponged the background with distress inks and then used a heart stencil to add some paste over it and then added lots of glitter..... I saw this wonderful technique on someone,s blog and now I can't remember were I saw it! She had some amazing cards.
Well hello again....this is a record for me....a few cards posted in a couple of weeks. Hope the weather is very summery were you are because here it is finally summer like...thank goodness. I was beginning to wonder if summer temperatures would ever arrive here.
I coloured these two sweeties with prismas and then cut them out and popped them up in the middle of a daisy field.
