Tissue Flowers...

So sorry for the lack of posts this week. The weather here has just been so spectacular...and I have been trying to take full advantage of it! I finally was able to sneek into my craft room tonight so I could make a card and post a little tutorial on making tissue flowers.

For the tissue flower, die cut eight of the size you wish using the spellbinders nestabilities scallop circle die.

Now fold each flower in half three times to form the petals. Die cut one more scallop flower, this time with cardstock. This will be your base. Cover the top with glue or score tape.

Now begin adhering the petals to the cardstock base, aligning the point of each petal to the center. Continue around, using all eight folded flowers. Now you can place a button in the center of your flower or even a pearl!

Here is my card using these cute little tissue flowers! Now for my background image I used "Pie In the Window" from Ellen Hutson's site. I used Tilda with her broom and cut out the broom. I used lyras and then my light blue copics for the window and around the image!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend...

Thanks for the tutorial Christine, these are fab and I love the way you have combined the images on this card. Hapay Easter. Glad the weather has ben kind, it has been awful here especially in the North where people have had so much snow. Horrible accidents and people with no electricity. Luckily we have just had cold and rain. Hoping for a little better this weekend. Marianne x
