First attempt with Distressed Inks....

I am so inspired by those of you that use distressed inks and wanted to try them out. Just before Christmas I purchased some at Stamping Bella and did not bring them out until now. I have been somewhat intimidated by them I think. I want to thank Sharon so much for all the tips she emailed me...without her great pointers I would not have known were to start. Just before Christmas I finally received my Magnolia Winter Kit and this is what I used for my Valentine's card!

I love to complete my cards by finishing off the insides of them. Actually, I think it is just an excuse to colour up some more images!

It actually feels pretty balmy here...it is above the freezing mark. When I went for my run today though , it was still pretty darn cold on the face...tears were just running down my cheeks! I have to say it felt good ...if I miss a day I find I really miss it! Well.. I am off to make an early dinner as we are off to the pond for some good ol POND HOCKEY! Hopefully they do not stick me in net! Punishment!

This card is fabulous Christine. You have coloured your images beautifully and I love the black & white papers. I can't believe this is your first attempt with the inks - you must have been practising. I was drying my hair 10 mins ago thinking "I must leave Christine a message asking her what happened to the distress inks" and then I come downstairs onto the PC and there is your card - spooky! And I have to ask, are you bonkers running in the snow!?! We had some more last night and I can bearly stand up let alone run!!
