City Girl...

It seems these days I just can't get to my card making like I would like to...life has a way of just getting in the way! Summer is here now too, so that makes it a bit tough. Mind you, the weather has really not been summer like here! Dreamerland crafts has a new release of these adorable stamps that I thought would be super adorable to colour up. This stamp set is called SHOPPING MAKES ME HAPPY.
I wanted to try something a little different. I made a box that would fold down into a business envelope. It worked I think! LOL I also made a slider card. The little girl slides across the city and reveals a sentiment. I think the only thing missing is a little glitter which I will add later after this post.

I coloured all my houses with prisma pencils and cut them all out and glued them to look like a city neighborhood.....
I am off to make a few more cards for the blog. Thank-you for popping in for a peek. Have a wonderful day!

Welcome to the Farm....

So a little trip to the farm here.....
I have a birthday card to share with you today that is for a young girl who is our neighbor across the street. They live on a farm and raise many cows and sheep....so I thought this might just be a perfect place to start with the ideas for a card for her! Her last name is Wight so I thought I would add the last name on the barn!

I made my own cow background paper for the outline of the image and used many MFT products that I adore! MFT products make card making a real breeze. The barn and the name on the front are from me just drawing out a barn and having some fun!
Hopefully she really gets a kick out of this card and has a good chuckle! Happy Birthday to her!!!!

Baby Boy Shower Card...

Making a baby card is by far my favourite....and with these dies it makes it that much more fun! I had this vision of a window that opens up to the summer breezes and a clothes line and on the line were little onesies! So I did a little playing around and came up with this little card!
Not that happy how my tree branch turned out, but I did need this card for today and only had a  few hours to create. I know that seems like a lot of time. But trust me, I'm not that fast at all!
The shower is for a little boy that is set to arrive the end of April so out came all the blue patterned paper. I do love the blues but I must say pink is my all time favourite! LOL
Well, I am off to deliver my card today....have a wonderful day!

Golf Anyone....

Well maybe not quite yet around these neck of the woods, but soon....
I needed a birthday card to give to someone that has a birthday in April (yes on the day of the Masters) and is a huge golfer! So I wanted to make another pull slider card.....
I pulled out the distress inks to colour all the dies and my little golfer guy from LOTV. I tell you, I am very rusty. I have found that when you don't do this after while you kind of lose your knack at it!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Welcome Spring....

Spring officially arrives here in Ontario tomorrow...yahoo! So you can tell spring is on my mind here on the blog. I used another Dreamerland stamp called Happiness Is.
I used the my ever so favourite Martha Stewart punches to do the tree. And the tree truck I just cut myself and then ran it thru the cuttlebug with an embossing folder I had that I thought would give the resemblance of a rough tree bark. I coloured up my image with prismas pencils and cut her out so that she fit under my tree.
Hopefully spring will arrive here and stay!
