It's Snowman Weather....

If you visit my blog on a regular basis you know I am not a big fan of winter....the only thing I really love is any adorable snowman stamp! We have had an old fashioned cold and snowy winter. Not fun really. My son arrived back from Hawaii and really wanted to just turn around and go back!!! Can I blame him! So all I can think of is to continue with making snow inspired cards....also I am starting my Christmas cards for 2014...I would love to have a great collection by the summer! I am keeping them simple this year for mailing purposes and for stocking up the inventory!
I love the Whipper Snapper Collection of stamps and had this stamp from last year. Oh I so love him and I have also fallen in love with Tammie's work too! She has inspired me to try this frame idea and the black speckled background....Thank-you Tammie.  So I  wanted to try the snow technique for the background. I sponged the background with Momento Flannel Grey and then with Tuxedo black. Then took a toothbrush and rubbed it in white folk art paint from Michaels and then proceeded to flick the brushes so that it would splatter. I'm liking that technique! He's gone night ski-ing in a blizzard! LOL
I made up my own frame and then coloured it up with copics! Hope you like my first wintery Christmas card for 2014! Oh I forgot....I added lots of glitter and added some liquid applique for the snow!!
Stay warm!

WOW WOW WOW my friend!!!! This is just so STUNNING...I LOVE the dark background!! We used to use the splatter technique on a lot of our ceramic pieces for that wintery feel! The frame just gives the card that final PERFECT touch...but I haven't mentioned your AMAZINGLY cute snowman...your colouring is FLAWLESS as always!!! A work of art Miss Christine!!!
