For a Very Special Girl....

Next week my daughter will be having her 17th birthday! Wow...where oh where did the time go. I hate that she is not that little girl with the pigtails, running around without a care in the world. Now she seems to be wanting her own space...meaning that now HER FRIENDS are the center of her world!LOL Well, to me she will always be my special girl.

I pulled out my beloved distress inks for this little hanglar. Now, I don't have alot of colours, so I went and ordered a whole bunch from Stampin Up. Oh I can hardly wait to play with some new colours. I don't know if you can tell, but her little shirt does not match my cardstock. I really do like things all matchy..but I just did not have the colours....hopefully my new order will help me out!
Have a wonderful day..and thank-you sooo much for popping in for a visit.

Oh Chris, I know what you mean. My daughter was 20 in January, (not a teenager now!) and I hated that!
It only seems a few years ago she was standing on a stool in the porch waiting for her daddy to come in from wrok (she was about 4!!)
Your card is beautiful your daughter will love it. Nothing wrong with her shirt to me. Debbiexx

You know, I don't normally like images with no faces but you kinda won me over on this one. She looks so sweet and friendly.Beautiful card.
(Of course Hanglars aren't like the "other" more potato headed creatures that everyone is so fond of.lol)

Soooo cute Christine! The pink looks absolutely perfect on this card - the darker hue of the paper draws out the pink even more on her dress! Such a pretty layout and I love how you used the flowers around sentiment! A very Happy Birthday to Breanne - wow 17 already!!
Hugs, Danielle

This is absolutely precious Christine.. I love watercoloring with inks.. I also color with the SU markers too. She is going to love this. It is so hard to watch them grow up. I miss those days too. Makes me sad to even think about it sometimes. Mine are 22,21,19.. Treasured times for sure..

Hi Christine your card is stunning and no I dont see the difference in the pinks so stop worrying.
And yes girls do grow up, my eldest is 49 next month and I can remember her when she was that size and time goes by so quickly they grow up and have little ones of their own, and her son is 31 next month so it just goes to show, time just does play tricks on us. With love and hugs Shirleyxxxxxxx

Awwe your going to make me cry Christine.. I know don't they grow up so fast.. Their little pig tails are curled locks, and tiny hands are painted finger nails, Instead of saying where your helmet your saying buckle up and drive safe... Oh boy I am so mushy today and you started it lol.... The card is fantastic and she will cherish it instead of coloring on it ..lol... Have a great weekend !!

Hi Chistine, this card is so sweet. Pretty colors and papers and of course that little Hangler is adorable. Be patient, my friend, after these teenage years they come back around and get that Mom knows what she's talking about and you get a best friend forever!

Sue
