Thinking of you....

The weekend is here and it is time for another Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge! Here in Ontario we have been experiencing lots of snow and VERY cold temperatures. I really am tired of winter and wanted to make something that reminded me of spring...so let me introduce you to Berry Sweet Cocoa! I just love the simplicity of this sketch, with the scallop edge in the middle. I tucked sweet Cocoa into the grass which I cut myself until I am able to find the MS grass punch at Michaels. I am hoping they will bring it in this spring. I coloured sweet Cocoa with copics and shaded around the edge with a prisma pencil in slate blue.

I hope you can join in this week over at The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Christine, this card is super duper adorable! LOVE the hand cut grass! Brilliant idea!!
I didn't realize you were Canadian too! I was born in Ontario. Calgary is now home though. It's been a cold winter for us too but this weekend it's supposed to be about 5C!!! Heat wave!
Stay warm!

Sorry to hear you are still suffering from the snow. Our bulbs are starting to just show their tips in the garden. It is still cold here though. Amazed you cut that grass yourself. Looks fab. I have a grass Sizzix die which is great. Love the fresh colours and the cute image. Marianne x

Hi Christine. This is really gorgeous. Love the layout and the colours. Adorable image. Can't wait for the strawberries to be in season again. The grass is brilliant, wouldn't have guessed it was hand-cut. Don't think you need a punch. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Donna

Hi Christine, wow stunning card and it does make you feel as though perhaps Spring is coming. Im so sorry to hear that its been so cold in Canada this year, its been bad enough in the UK, but luckily we dont get the same amount of snow that you do, not sure we would be able to cope with it if we did, everything stops over here when it does snow. With love and hugs Shirleyxxxxxxxx

This is lovely Christine. It's my favourite colour combination and what a sweet stamp. I hope your cold snap doesn't last too long. We've had a week of mild but very wet weather and now it's turned cold again. Spring can't come quickly enough!

I can think of nothing better for winter therapy than to do a card that reminds you of summer and spring! Such a nice combination of papers, love the colors! Sorry it's so cold - it's been in the low 70's here, not much of a winter here! Hope all is well, hugs, J:)
