Lilacs for Cocoa...

This morning I am supposed to be heading out for an all day crop at a scrapbooking store. Old man winter is bringing us lots of snow this morning so my drive will be less then fun! What we will do to craft! Before I head out, here is a card I made for this week's Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge. The stamp I used is Lilacs for Cocoa (reminds me of spring) that is available at Sweetn'Sassy Stamps.
One thing I really liked about the sketch this week was the fact the background should be embossed. Sometimes I forget to try different things for my cards.
I really hope you have a chance to play along this week. If you don't have any SweetnSassy Stamps that is ok.You can enter using any stamp you may love! So come along and join us!
Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm!

Drive safe and have fun today!!! It's amazing the things we'd do to craft, eh? If it was a jug of milk we needed when the roads were horrible, I'd say drink water until tomorrow ;) LOL! Stamping is in a different category!

Your card is ADORABLE! Love that embossing you did! Fun folder!

Love your SSS91 card Christine. Question: Where did you get the embossing folder for the background? I don't think I've ever seen that one, and of course I want it!

Such a pretty card. The background makes me think of a basket, and with the flowers (love the little mouse peeking out), it just makes me long for spring, especially as at this moment we have about 8" of new snow, still coming down and blowing hard. AHHHH, such is the live of a Yooper (someone from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, in case you are wondering). Thanks for the breath of spring!

Just gorgeous Christine. I love the clean lines and simple layout. Hope you enjoyed your day scrapping and the snow wasn't too thick.

I forget to emboss too (although I remembered yesterday but have yet to post the make). I think it adds so much to a card. Now I just need to learn how to sew. It won't be as beautiful as the stitching on your card, but I am getting a kiddy sewing machine for my birthday and I'll be practicing. Any tips?
Beautiful colouring, Christine. Beautiful card! Hugs, Lesley
