Sleigh Ride.....Slider Card!

We woke up this morning with a slight dusting of snow on the ground. I am sooo not ready for winter. Soon the kids will be able to play in it, that is for sure! Just like these two! I wanted to do a slider card for some time now, so last night I sat down and just played and figured out my way of what I think is a slider card. Lol.
I wanted to create a little wintery neighbourhood scene after the first snowfall. I had this stamp set from Sunshine Designs that had 4 houses in the package. So I stamped 3 of my favourite houses in the background and took a black marker to make the hill joining all 3 houses. Coloured with copics to create a glowing background....used lots of glitter...and liquid applique to create the snowfall! The couple on the sled is an old Elzybells stamp I bought a couple of years ago.

When you pull on the snowman tab it makes the couple slide across the snow!

Have a wonderful weekend and stay warm! Thank-you so much for popping in for a visit!

This card is awesome, Christine! You are so clever to figure it out yourself, especially when it turns out so perfect. What a cute scene! Love your snowman for your Christmas Traditions. He's so jolly. Also, your cake and muffins look fabulous. That cake is just gorgeous. Your chocolate chip cookies recipe has become a favorite in our house and my son's house too. Keep 'em coming! :) I'm sure your son must have had a ball on his firefighting outing. What fun for him. Hugs,

Hi Christine.
Wow!!! This is fantastic. I love how you have created this scene. The houses are so quirky and the image is brilliant. Love the colours. The slider effect suits this so well.
We never usually get a lot of snow, just lasts a couple of days. Last year we had more snow than usual and much colder. I loved it. It makes the air feel so crisp and fresh.
Have a great weekend. Donna

Oh this is so cute! A lovely scene. Funnily - I had just opened this post (and only the top photo was visible) when I had to go and see to the dinner. As I sat back down again afterwards I must have nudged my mouse without realising it. This resulted in your post sliding up to reveal only the second photo but I didn't actually see it happen. What I did see when I looked at your blog having returned from my dinner was the same picture but with the slider out and I thought it had actually slid whilst I was eating my meal. It took me a moment to work out that I had simply scrolled down your blog but it really does emphasise the appeal of these sliding cards! Hugs, Lesley
