I was at Michaels Arts and Crafts store the other day and saw they had some cute little felt pocket gift cards that I thought would be cute.So I came home and started to fiddle around a little and made these paper gift card holders. I really like the gift card idea for the really hard to buy for...but I do not like to just stick them into a card...so what better way then to make a gift card holder.
They measure up to:4 1/4 high and 3" wide. I took a sheet of cardstock measuring 9" x 4 1/4" and scored it at 3" and 6". Then I cut the last square on an angle. The band that goes around the holder is 6 3/4" x 1 1/2" and that is glued together to hold it all together.
Now the fun part is just to pick some images that you would love to ink up. I am hoping to get a few more made, even for Birthday and Valentine's Day. I know I could have just bought the felt ones at Michaels but heck...I thought it would be fun to make my own!
Have a wonderful day and thank-you so much for popping in for a visit!

Oh Christine you are not going to believe this, at the christmas fair yesterday I got asked for money and voucher holders and I had not done any...Wish I had done some like yours, theyare gorgeous.
My son is getting a voucher for Christmas off us, for a clothes shop in town he loves. If it's ok with you I will make him one of these and pop the voucher in, he will love that.
Thank you Debbiexx

Oh you clever girl. I just love these Christine. Thanks so much for sharing. Will have to case these sometime. Wonderful idea.
These are fabulous Christine. I always feel a bit 'guilty' giving a gift card but for some people they are perfect and if you put one in one of these holders, really special.
Hi Christine. Loving the gift card holders Great idea. Love the colours and papers. I really like the stamp you have used on the inside. They are more personal when you make them rather than buying them, in case they get more than one the same. Donna
Fabulous work Christine, always handy to have for those that are difficult to buy for and these are just the perfect package for a gift card.
