a little quilted tote.....

A couple of days ago I went to a wonderful fabric store and found some great fabrics that I wanted to work with. I could not find a pattern to do just a simple tote...so I played around a little and came up with this little piece.....and of course I had to make a card to go with it. This little set is off to someone, so I am really hoping she will really like it!

I loved the fabric with the cherries so much that I thought, heck, I may as well use it somehow on my card. I gathered the material on my sewing machine, then stitched it to attach it to the cardstock. I used one of my favourite stamps from Karen Lockharts collection...bowl of strawberries. Now checking out some challenges, I saw that Sir Stamp Alot has a great challenge this month: Lazy Hazy Days of Summer. So for me eating strawberries and ice cream on the porch in the evening spells lazy summer!

I got it off of a post that Debbie Olsen did in May with fabric by Cosmo Cricket. The post link is here: http://debbiedesigns.typepad.com/muse_and_amuse/2010/05/early-bird-fabric-tote-and-gift-card.html
So many projects, so little time....sigh!

Hi Christine

What an absolutelty beautiful set, the fabric bag is lovely and with the matching card will make a wonderful gift.

The fabric is really pretty, it is so difficult to find nice fabric in the UK now as the stores selling it are few and far between.

Thank you for joining us at Stampalot Challenge this month and good luck.
