I'm hooked.....

After so many months of admiring the works of others using the distress inks I finally sat down and played...and I am so hooked. The key I find to working it really well , is the paper. I bought a really fine watercolour paper and I am now so addicted to "Distress Inks". I still need lots of practice, but do I care, no...bring all that fun on.

Janiel over at My Little Pieces of Art sent me a cute little box and said to have fun with it! Yahoo..another item to decorate up using my distress inks. Thank-you so much Janiel, I appreciated this little box so much!!! If you get a chance, check out Janiel's work..it will knock your socks off the amount of talent that girl has!!!

So...my daughter has been helping me out with a few things I have up my sleeve for my son's graduating grade 8 class. I thought it would be nice to thank her with a card and a little treat box. Thank-you Breanne...you have helped me out big time!!! And thank-you Janiel, I have totally loved playing around with this little box!
Have a wonderful day...and thank-you so much for dropping in and leaving a comment! So nice to have you come by for a visit!!!!

A beautiful card and gift box, Christine. I can't believe this is your first attempt at painting with the distress inks - the images are perfect. I mean - I do believe you, of course, but your skill is already first class! Lovely papers and layout as well. What a gifted lady you are! Warmest wishes, Lesley

Hi Christine. Glad to see I'm not the only one who got hooked too. You with distress inks and me with coloured pencils. Doesn't matter what. I love learning new things--broadening my horizons so to speak.
I'm with you in regards to paper. It's the key I think. The right paper makes all the difference in the world. Doesn't matter the medium I guess, markers, distress ink or coloured pencils.

Love your card BTW. Your fabby colouring and the colours you've chosen.

Hugs.
Norma

Laptop still not working. Doing this at work after hours...hee hee.

Apologies (again) that I haven't been by in ages, we have Jeff's parents with us until the weekend then we are visitor free for a while so I will be able to catch up with things! Your last few creations have been as gorgeous as ever and I loved the cute little card and beach hut that you made. This card and box set is so sweet too and you are doing a fab job colouring with your distress inks.
