Take time to relax...

Here we are in the middle of a snowstorm and I am posting a spring card...mother nature needs to co-operate with me...I need spring to come! One of my special blogging buddies is under the weather this week..so this card is for her! She needs some springtime weather just like the rest of us! Danielle this is for you!!! Hope you are feeling better very soon!

My girlfriend Carolyn and I did a little road trip on Wednesday. I have to say that our road trips are always fun and a little expensive, but they are so worth it! We laugh, we oh and ahhhh about new products in the craft stores....and then we drive home with smiles ear to ear! These are the stamps I brought home on this road trip, and the papers too! You gotta love when spring is around the corner...as all the pretty paper is out!

I am curious though...how long does it take you on average to make a card? I really want to know! I seem to take forever..and I have not even put embellishments on!!! I bet you ladies just whip up those gorgeous creations you do! Not this gal..makes me mad!

Now for this card, I took a 12x12 piece of paper and cut it to: 7x12, then scored it at 2,4,8 and 10. Then fold at the score lines...really easy peasy and I really think you will like the results!

I am off to create another card...please let me know some tricks to great card making in less then 4 hours!!!LOL

My blogging friend Joanne just told me about a new challenge blog Sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com that I could enter this card into...the theme is SPRING!

Oh my!! This is amazing!! I love it!
Depends on if I have an idea in my head for a card of if I'm "winging" it...usually a few hours at least though for a card.

OH Christine this is very cute!! I tell you that I can NOT make a card in least tthan about 3 hours! NEVER!!! I spend alot of my time going through my papers to find just the right mix. That does take time when you have as many paper as the LSS does.. Ha Ha Ha... I find it relazing each day to come and spend that time with my projects.
Have a great weekend sweetie it is almost here..
oh yea I NEED a road trip!
hugs, Janiel

Too, too adorable Christine!!! I love your new stamp and pretty, pretty paper! I'm so glad you had a fun "road" trip with your friend! Very special times with those we care about are priceless! Hey, if you are in the mood for a fun challenge, go over to The Sweet Spot (http://sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com/) The theme is Spring & flowers. I bet some of that new paper you just got would really be perfect! As for how long I spend on a card... hours, lol! Aloha & hugs! J:)

beautiful card Christine, your road trip sounds like great fun.

I plan my cards in my head through the day and everytime I nip upstairs I get something out ready so that if the bubbs nap at the same time in the afternoon I can have 20 mins in my craft room. Other than that I have to wait until they've gone to bed!

This card is a beauty. I love your new papers and those images are so cute but, in particular, I love the design of your card. I used to make triptych cards where the doors open in front to show three panels but I have not seen one that opens into five panels. There is so much more dimension and I love that your wheelbarrow overhangs when open. Lovely colouring too, Christine! Stunning! Hugs to you! Lesley

Beautiful card Christine. I just love your images and such pretty papers. We have had a really wet week here but I have one crocus come out in my garden so spring is on the way. This card is just perfect for our challenge at Kabbodle Doodles too, which is fancy folds. I'd love you to enter. Marianne x

Christine, this is a super-duper (how do you spell that!?) card. Love how you get the surprise of another image when you open the card. These swiss pixies are just too adorable. And as usual the way you put the card together is awesome.

Less than 4 hours to make a card! Gasp! I've never been able to manage that. It takes me days to make just one card--I only have a few hours a day at a time. My hats off to you for being able to make at least one card per day.

Hugs.

I'm just loving your blog - you truly are an inspiration!

I'm just like you - it can take me anywhere from 3-4 hours to make one card. First I have to pick out the designer paper I want to use, then find just the "right" cardstock to go along with it. Then heaven forbid, the time it takes me to come us with the sentiment to use :-) My hubby teases me that I don't have to reinvent the wheel with each card - but isn't that half of the fun?

Just the other day, I had someone request 20 of the same card. After making the prototype, it took 3-4 hours to make all 20 cards - go figure!

I'm off to look at more of your stunning cards.
Hugs,
Dee
