Skating on the pond..pop up card!

Woke up to a beautiful Saturday morning! The sun is out and the temperatures outside are not too bad for January! In a couple of weeks we will be celebrating Ground Hog Day...will he see his shadow? I am so waiting for spring!
For the last week or so I have been wanting to make a pop up card in the worst way, but felt so intimidated by them. But I thought, oh just give it a whirl and see what happens! I used my Winter Wonderland "skater" from Victoria Case SCAC...and placed her on a circular silver mirrored cardstock! My background is popped up on different levels with dimensionals for that 3D effect. I also sprinkled some Martha Stewart snow flake glitter around the pond just to give it that just cleared off for her look!

I don't have a link to a torturial as I could not find one that I liked, so I just had to try a few things so that when you open the card she and the snow drifts just pop up! It was alot of trial and error! It's a little thick when you close it so I will have to put extra postage on my envelope to send it off!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend ...I don't know if we will be skating on the pond today as the temperatures outside may make the ice to soft!

This card is absolutely stunning. I wish you could enter it at Stamptacular Sunday Challenge. They have pop up cards coming tomorrow for the challenge next week. It must have taken a lot of work to do this one. Great job. It makes this cold weather seem a bit nicer when we have such a beautiful card to look at on this cool day.
Hugs xx

This is brilliant, Christine. I have a skating image that I want to use and you have inspired me to try something similar myself. I will credit the concept to you when I do!

Like you, I like to try little "engineering" quirks with my cards and this is just up my street! Well done - it's lovely! Warmest wishes, Lesley
