Holiday Wreath...

Just Magnolia has a great sketch to follow for their challenge! I just received some new additions to my family of Magnolia stamps so the timing was perfect for this little Tilda to
make an appearance on a card! Actually I was dying to colour up this one! I took a Merry Christmas stamp and just stamped it on white card stock for my background and then coloured Tilda with lyras, cut her out and placed her on my background. Has anyone ordered the Winter/Christmas 2009 Magnolia kit? I have and I am very anxious to receive it.

For the berries on the wreath I did some French knots using embroidery thread. I really love doing that, I think it gives the wreath a little dimension.

Your card is stunning! I love the new sketch by Magnolia and your card looks so different - but GREAT!!!! I would love to play with my Christmas Magnolias 2009 as well, but like you I am still waiting for my Winter-/Chrstmas kit!!! :(((( I think I can't make my new cards in time, as I have to mail out most of my cards worldwide!!! Magnolia is always sooo late...sigh! If their stamps wouln't be worth waiting I would have given up....

Oh, how cute is this! Absolutely darling, and those french knots really make it pop. I ordered the kit and I'm really anxious to get it. Last I checked it said "shipping soon." Thanks for the kind comments and the tip on the paper. I've been using a paper from Flourishes which works very nicely. I've also used Neenah and PTI's CS. I hope you'll share a picture of the quilts you're making. I've done some quilting in my day and I loved putting all those gorgeous fabrics together. Ever read the books by Jennifer Chiaverini? They're neat stories, all quilt-themed. Well, had to say I love your card!

very creative. It looks wonderful. Love the mix of papers too. Very nice.

Christine, another stunning card!!! Love the colour combo of those shades especially the deep rich red. Adorable Tilda--I must get her out soon. I like your punched-leaves-and- berries embelishment. Hope you don't mind if I borrow that idea. Thanks for inspiration.

Hugs.
