Goodbye Winter...hello Spring!

You know us card makers love an excuse to make a card for ANY occassion. So today I made a card to celebrate the return of SPRING....and goodbye old man winter! I am so happy to introduce Abby from Spesch Digital Stamps. She is just to happy to bring on spring too!

I had a Happy Spring stamp that I bought at Michaels a couple of years ago and so I stamped that in the forground of Abby. Then I just coloured up Abby with prismas and cut her out so I could place her in front of the spring image!

Inside I used little Abby again, and stamped a little snail image I had from the Karen Lockhart collection of Itty Bitty Stamps! Love those little stamps, they are so useful..as you can also use those cute little stamps for the fronts of envelopes.

...thinking of you....

This has been such a crazy busy day...running kids here there everywhere! I totally love it...one day they will all be gone and I will miss these days! I was able to sneak in the craft room and get a little creative. I have to say that easel cards are one of my favourite designs...so I thought I would try something a little different and make the top part an arch. This wonderful "White Queen" from the new digital Spesch Stamps company is so perfect I thought to have her in her own little garden. I hope it looks ok! To create my arch I cut a piece of cardstock into a rectangle and then placed a dessert plate on top and traced an arch. Voila it seems to have worked!

I am going to put this easel card into Flutterby Wednesdays challenge! I actually found a butterfly punch... so I am good to go!

Mom's To Do List...Note pad!

This week is the official start of "March Break" for both of the kids! So what better way to get organized then to make a note pad with my TO DO LIST! Spesch Digital Stamps just came out with this wonderful image...she is called "CHARLI". Well...Charli is ready for March Break..she is all suited up in her track suite ready to taxi drive, grocery shop, plan activities to keep the kids busy...you know the drill!!!LOL

I made a note pad using cardstock that was cut 61/2 x 9 high. Then I scored at 3 and 3 1/2.
Fold were the creases are and then decorate to suite your lists! A great way to use your stamps!
I bought a note pad at the dollar store and then went to a printer in town and he cut them in half for me. Now it does not matter what size of pad you buy....you can create around it! Get creative!

A couple of weeks ago Tracey sent me another wonderful Spesch Digital image to colour up! When I saw this little cutie I immediately thought of a birthday card! She is just so darn cute! Some bunny loves you...

Spring is not set to arrive for two more weeks here..but mother nature is just teasing us with what is yet to come! A beautiful sunny, some what warm day! Tracey sent me this gorgeous digital image from "Spesch Stamps" to work with and I fell in love! Give me anything cute and I get so excited to play with it!!!! I coloured her with prismas and then shaded around her with a little bit of my blue prisma pencil crayon!
Introducing "BONNIE"......

Yesterday we did not fair to well at our school hockey tournament, but we had fun! Last weekend, the other hockey team my son is on, won the whole tournament! So we have had lots of fun with hockey this year! I always miss it when they take a break for the summer! Don't get me wrong, I love my summers, but I love my hockey too! LOL

Easter is on it's way....
