A dreary day and busy kids has allowed me to sneak away into my craftroom and play. Here in Ontario it is strawberry season....I have yet to get out and pick strawberries this year because of the weather but hopefully next week. I love making strawberry/rhubarb pie and strawberry jam.
Kraft cardstock is my one of my favourites to play with when making cards. I took a sizzix template I bought around Valentines day at the Michaels Arts and Crafts store and embossed the top of the card and the bottom, cut along the bottom and the top, then I popped it up. I used the Fancy Tags Spellbinders die and stamped the picnic basket on top. Coloured with copics and popped it up too.

Ah Christine...I see it is also strawberry time at your side =) LOL Here we have the last strawberries already, but also cherries, rasperries and red currents to pick....all to the same time...ah...and not to forget the apricots!! A busy time!!

I loved this embossing folder when you bought it and it's great to see it used again. This is such an effective and different card. reat way to use that Spellbinder die too, mmm now there's an idea. Thanks for so much inspiration. Marianne x

The embossing looks so good on the kraft cardstock. Love this card but would love strawberry/rhubard pie even more. That is my favorite.
That template really makes an already-wonderful card something extra super-duper!
First of all, your basket is lovely, second, the embossing you did with the die is perfect and the colors are so warm and wonderful! How very elegant with that die tag that you used too!

OMG, too funny...I just made strawberry and blueberry jam YESTERDAY. Great minds think alike or what??...hehe! Beautiful card!! I like the kraft with red, too...and the touch of gingham is perfect with the strawberry theme. So summery and sweet!
