Happy Harvest..

When I woke up this morning boy did it feel like fall. I know that fall can be a pretty time of the year, but I am not ready to say good-bye to summer quite yet. I love when the kids are home and the days are hot! So for todays card I pulled out Papertreys stamp set called "Vintage Picnic" and stamped it on a cut out nestabilities, coloured it with copics. I then added some ribbon and some buttons from CTMH. I then used my new MS pumpkin border punch! I think you will be seeing me use that alot this fall! Have a great weekend!

baby, it's cold outside!

Just Magnolia has another exciting challenge for us! I'm loving this one! Bows and Ribbons, you certainly can't go wrong with this one! I used my favourite Tilda ( at least for this week) and coloured her up with copics, except I used lyras for her skin tones. Just not comfortable with the copics for that. I then glittered her scarf and mitts...which you cannot really tell from my picture.
My sentiments are from papertreys collection of stamps!
Well..enjoy your weekend and try to pop on over the Just Magnolia blog and check it out!

impressed,amazed,inspired..by you

It's Friday...yeh! I have only one Sarah Kay stamp at this point and I hope to add to my collection. I think they are so precious. When I was little I had this Holly Hobby doll and these images remind me so much of her. I coloured her up with Lyras and Prismas, used stampin'up paper, added a little charm that says "made with love". I also used my new sentiment from Stampin' up. Looking forward to a great weekend!

Fall is on its way....

I am not ready to say goodbye to summer yet...but I did break down and put together a fall like card. I used a Karen Lockhart stamp that I bought in the summer and I just love using it. It just reminds me of an old rocking chair my grandmother had and she always drapped an old quilt on the back of it just like this image! I coloured it all with some copics and tried to use my colourless blender to remove some of the colour on the seat cushion. Just to give it that old worn look to it! Enjoy these last few weeks of summer!

Punches: Ek success
Paper: Michaels
Stamp: Karen Lockhart
Ribbon: Michaels

hello little one...

This week the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday is they want to see new things in your life/those you love, new baby, new home, new car, new job. Whatever new beginnings you like! So for me I brought out my Karen Lockhart stamp and made a welcome home baby! I have been experimenting with the prisma pencil crayons as I usually use the lyras. I really do have to say I like them both, I just have newer colours to work with using my new prismas! My sentiment is from some blog candy I won from Claudia . Thank-you so much Claudia I am just loving these new sentiments!

Mommy to Bee...

Happy Wednesday Everyone...here is my card entry for the Bellarific Friday Challenge. I used
my pregabella stamp for this card and the sentiment is from Papertrey's baby collection as I did not have any stamping bella sentiments perfect for this image. I used the swiss dots template to do the three rectangles, and then added a little sewing around the edge just to give it that little finished look. I really enjoy doing the sewing on cards, I think it just completes it nicely, and it
is so easy peasy! If you have some time pop over to Stamping Bella and enter your card in! Lots of fun to be had...as you have a chance at winning some Bella Bucks !

have a purrrfect day!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I have not been very productive lately as there seems to be so many things going on here! Yesterday we went down to Stamping Bella in Thornhill, Ontario and took a Prisma colouring class with the ever so talented Paula. She taught us so many different things and now we have to just practice, practice. And of course while we were there a new shipment of winter lines of paper came. Had to have that of course. Todays card I used kittycatabella from stamping bella
and coloured with copics for the cats, lyras and prismas for the the rest. Little simple today, but I really wanted to practice those copics and lyras! If you get a chance, pop over to
Stamping Bellas blog and check out the card challenge for this week.

Back to School....

I have noticed alot of people having been posting some really cute back to
school cards on their blogs so I thought I would try to make some as well!

I actually have made a card and a notepad to match it! I took a 9x6 pad that
I bought at the dollar store and then went to a printing company and had them
cut it half. I then took the kraft stock paper from papertrey and cut the paper
to 9 x 6 1/2". Then I just scored it at 3" and at 3 1/2". Then glue the entire
bottom of the pad to the right hand side of the scored kraft paper. Then just embellish
it any way that you like! You could even do this at Christmas time for gifts...that
way people can have a Things to Do: list.

Above is my card that I made to match the note pad. I used the Papertrey stamp set
Vintage Picnic. Oh my goodness..it is so versatile, as it comes with all sorts of seasons.

I took a picture of the inside as well for you so you would have a little bit
of an idea of what I did. I hope this all makes sense.
Have a fantastic weekend..I'm off to our end of season soccer tournament!

Any sports fans...

I made a card for one of my son's friends, 13th Birthday. I used stamping bellas stamp called the hanging sports block! He loves all sports so I thought this was very fitting for him. I coloured it with my copics and added a photo hanger to attach the ribbon. This I bought from CTMH and have used them alot!

Warm hugs...

Well it seems forever since I last posted anything! This weather is just too nice to pass on! Mom's taxi service has been in full gear this summer, that is for sure! But I do not have any regrets as I know all too soon the kids will be on their own and not need mom as much...and I will truly miss that. Now today I did treat myself to a little Stamping Bella trip, a very quick visit, but I really enjoyable one! You know the saying" If mom's happy, the whole family is happy". And I do love my trips to BellaLand! Lots of new goodies! So from my trip came inspiration, which I have been lacking in lately. Here is my Stamping Bella Challenge Card for this week. I'm not to sure why I making wintery cards..when it is officially summer! Oh well, you have to take inspiration anywhere it comes from! This is one of Stamping Bellas new stamps! Love it! Coloured it up with lyras and added some white fun flock, some buttons and ribbon! Nothing to over the top!

Winter Wonderland Challenge!

The theme this week at Winter Wonderland is "Home for the Holidays". So for this challenge I pulled out last years Papertrey stamps..I absolutely love these stamps. Home for the Holidays, and Boards and Beams..they pair up to make this come together for a Christmas card! A little paper piecing and very finicky...but the result is so fun! I actually coloured with Lyras and Copics! I also had a little fun with the liquid applique for the snow. For the liquid applique I did not heat it to puff it, I just let it set on its own..just wanted that fresh snowfall look! I still cannot believe that I am making Wintery cards...I am such a summer person and don't want to wish summer away!

To the Beach....

I'm on a roll with summer themed cards, so when I saw that Cute Card Thursday's challenge this week was...At the Beach....I jumped right on it! I used my Ek success punches and my sentiments are both from the papertrey collection " A Day at the Beach". I used Tilda by the Sea and coloured her with the lyras, added some polka dots to her dress with my white gel pen, and used the cloud template to sponge around her!
I know my pictures are not all that clear..I really had a hard time with it as the card is quite long!

the joys of Summer...

I wish summer lasted all year here in Ontario...but the sad truth is it is such a short period of time so we try to make the most of it! This was my first time ordering the Summer Kit from Magnolia and I am so glad that I did. It came with this cutie...So for this card I coloured up Tilda with the Lyras and I made a small cloud template and sponge around it with a light blue to make some clouds in the background. I then cut out the tag with the nestabilties and stamped the sentiment using the Papertrey stamp collection " A Day at the Beach".
I hope you all are headed off to a beach or pool to enjoy these last weeks of summer before the kids head off to school again for the new year!

the world is your snowball....

Twinkle Sparkle is the theme over at Winter Wonderland's challenge. Who can resist a touch of glitter on a card! For this challenge I pulled out my little Elzybells girl from last year...and went to town on the fun flock on her coat and hat and her boots. Kellie (one of my scrapbooking buddies) showed me a little trick , and that was just to add a little glitter on top of the fun flock by adding a little glue to the top of the fun flock and sprinkle the glitter on top! Great little tip.

Cup of Tea Anyone!

Hello Everyone....We are experiencing quite a storm here in Ontario so I'm hoping that the power will not go out so I can get my post on tonight!
I used one of my Elzybells stamps and paper pieced the teapot! I feel as though I am cheating with the paper piecing...no colouring! Hope you enjoy....and once again...I want to thank-you all
for all your wonderful comments you leave! I really do enjoy reading them!

Just An Old Fashioned Chair...

I was totally inspired today by Michelle Wooderson's blog that I had to make a card! I just bought this rocking chair image from the EllenHutson site and I thought is just was so cute. This month it is the stamp of the month so that means if you order it, you receive a discount on this stamp! I stamped the image onto the Papertrey Kraft cardstock and then paperpieced the quilt , then coloured the rest of the image with copics...I also added a little touch of white gel pen to the apples and the basket, just to give it that real feel!
If you get a chance, check out the EllenHutson site...for their new Martha Stewart punches, they are to die for...I have a few on their way and can hardly wait to get them!
Have a great Sunday!!!!!

Just Magnolia Challenge...

Happy Saturday Everyone...this week over at the Just Magnolia blog they have a sketch challenge for us to follow! All you have to do is have at least one Magnolia image on your card!
I chose to colour up little Tilda holding presents with my lyras. It was a pretty simple card this week as I feel as though I have lost my mojo. I think sometimes it comes in waves. I am really hoping it comes back!!LOL

They are supposed to be glittery daisies!!! If you get a chance check out the blog at Cute Card Thursday and join in the fun!
